Rua da Felicidade ("Happiness Street"), between Largo de Santo Agostinho and Largo do Senado, was once the heart of Macau's red lights district, and that is how it got its rather peculiar name... Today, it is a cute, authentic shopping street where you can buy some "exotic" products, enjoy some truly authentic food and see some nice shophouses with traditional red louvers... (Movie lovers may recognize the street from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Doom").
Recommended restaurants along Rua da Felicidade include Tou Tou Koi (specializes in Chinese hotpot/steamboat dishes and old style cooking...), Fat Siu Lau (One of Macau's oldest restaurants, serving authentic Macanese cuisine), Café Kam Ma Lon (an unpretentious eatery, serving decent food at moderate prices), Sai Nam (Cantonese style seafood), Restaurant Cheong Kei noodle (lovely Cantonese specialties with a traditional "Macanese touch"...)
